What we’re looking for
An Account Manager to drive sales forward across the account portfolio. With successful experience in consultative sales, the role will focus on driving growth across accounts within the EMEA region. The candidate will require the ability to seek out new business opportunities and grow existing accounts by developing relationships with decision-makers and influencers at all levels within the business.

The role
- Plan and execute account strategies in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director.
- Build a sales pipeline of upsell, cross-sell and new business opportunities.
- Manage full sales cycle in a consultative manner, meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
- Understand the market opportunity and develop a plan for the area.
- Understand the customer’s specific needs through consultative discovery sessions in order to provide a tailored solution.
- Build, negotiate and agree contracts on behalf of OneOcean.
- Keep the customer engaged through account meetings to maintain a deep relationship and identify upsell and cross sell opportunities.
- Use CRM (Salesforce) to log sales activity, keep allocated accounts up to date with customer contact details, ensure pipeline discipline working quickly on all customer communication, including leads.
- Work with internal teams such as Customer Success and Finance to ensure customers are onboarded and supported in the best possible way.
- Establish and maintain industry contacts.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of competitors' activities and competitive offerings.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
- Stay fully aware of product releases and stay in tune with the industry news and trends in to order to educate customers on the solution to their problem.
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study
- Previous experience in the Account management field with an in depth understanding of sales and client care principles. Previous exposure in marine and SaaS is highly preferred.
- Significant experience in leading Account management activities in a virtual/international context.
- Strong commercial awareness with ability to develop action plans based on input from key persons.
- Knowledge of financial, budgetary planning, business planning, reporting and management.
- Thorough understanding of the market and marine environment to manage commercial focus and identify new business opportunities.
- Excellent proficiency in the English language with ability to use the relevant terminology in the area of expertise.
- Demonstrate managerial qualities building effective teams, enabling the team to perform effectively, and developing others.
- Ability to embrace diversity and delegate supporting a culture of learning and development.
- Willingness and ability to travel on a global basis.
- Sufficient commercial acumen to reliably negotiate contracts.
- Attentive listening and quickly developing trust with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Extremely literate in standard MS Office software packages
- Training will be provided but the ability to quickly absorb information to understand and communicate USPs and product differentiation is essential.
