What we’re looking for
As part of this role, you will be accountable for managing the delivery of The Propel Framework & Experience Events project for the Loyd’s Register Learning Academy & wider People Team. You will also be responsible for all aspects of the people development programme performance, strategy, delivery and safety by providing hands on expert guidance and direction by shaping, leading, managing and controlling required programme capabilities and stakeholder management to achieve success, working with Lloyd’s Register business leadership and enabling functions.

The role
- To establish immediate plan of action and execution capability to both the Propel Development Framework and Trusted Advisor Experience Events to a global audience across multi divisional teams
- To shape the required programme structures, governance and stakeholder management and provide leadership, management, and development to assigned personnel ensuring they have a clear sense of direction regarding their role in delivery, achieving objectives and budgets.
- Accountable for all aspects of project performance, delivery and safety to achieve project deliverables and meet scope, quality, time and budget constraints, while complying with the relevant Project & Programme Management processes and governance.
- Identification, sourcing and management of effective full-time and part-time resources for all aspects of assigned projects in line with contractual and budgetary agreements.
- Ensures that planning, cost, time and quality controls are in place and used appropriate to the scope, scale and complexity of projects.
- Manage the interface with the client’s project organisation to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of a project in line with the commercial, contractual and financial requirements of the contract.
- Plan and ensure delivery on all aspects of contract compliance and management to include change control and contract variations.
- Management and oversight of project schedules, financial tracking, contract risks management procedures and issues plus associated project documentation and supports compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements for jurisdictions in which individual projects are to be executed.
- Conducting regular project and contract reviews and regularly report project status both internally for management and externally for clients as required under the terms of contracts concluding with formal project close out.
- Management of the effective and timely delivery of technical and related project specific administrative activities.
What you bring
- Relevant education background.
- Experience in Learning & Development and understanding learning solutions and the costs/timings to execution is an advantage.
- Experienced in change management understanding the key activities and practices required
- A wide breadth and depth of knowledge of project management with proven skills in dealing with medium to high complexity and medium to high risk key client facing projects through the strategic management of multidiscipline teams.
- Willing and able to travel as required to ensure activities are aligned and transitioned successfully
- Experienced in Programme Management processes including planning, people management, financial management, performance management and reporting
- Experienced in providing visible, pro-active Health and Safety leadership, with the analysis and monitoring of incident reporting and task risk assessment.
- Adaptable, collaborative and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder management – proven ability to leverage existing organisational capabilities to deliver outcomes
- Experienced in interacting with stakeholders at all levels providing technical and commercial leadership, with specific experience gained in dealing globally across various countries and cultures. Must be able to communicate written English to a very high standard.
- Advanced use of SharePoint, Powerpoint and Excel is essential. HTML or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Experience in employee engagement and working on projects are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders across levels, building engagement & commitment to action
- Be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to take on new challenges
- Have drive for results, solution focused thinking and you are keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs.
- Demonstrate initiative and proactiveness and has flexibility adjusting your approach when necessary.
- Have good planning and process management skills (scopes the length and difficulty of tasks; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into process steps)
- Have perseverance in the face of obstacles and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Display a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team with colleagues in person and around the world.
- Are customer focused and driven to achieve excellent customer service.
