Role Purpose

To champion and drive the quality of performance management across the LR business:

  • To provide thought leadership on best practice in order to enhance the performance process (called PPP internally).
  • To project manage SuccessFactors system enhancements, working closely with technical and business teams to deliver results to key deadlines.
  • To manage all aspects of performance management within LR including the performance cycle, continuous improvement, PPP SuccessFactors system, PPP process and materials, Behavioural Competencies (BCs), communications and manager and colleague education.


The Performance Consultant opportunity is a 6 month fixed term contract working part time - 21 hours and open to candidates from all locations

Your duties will include

  • To stay ahead of best practice and industry trends relating to performance and behaviours and to regularly review LR’s offerings and practices, proposing new approaches as required. To ensure that all elements of performance are continuously reviewed and improved to support colleague and manager adoption and engagement.
  • To focus on maximising the capability that Success Factors has that can add value and continuous improvement to the PPP process, whilst ensuring that the user experience is enhanced. This includes working closely with the LR Academy, SAP, the IS Success Factors team, other system providers and the HR Operational Excellence team to manage system upgrades and enhancements.  This will involve managing to tight deadlines.
  • To manage all aspects of the performance management cycle within LR, acting as the HR Subject Matter Expert for performance and key point of contact for PPP process, system, performance and behavioural competences.
  • To manage the annual performance cycle, including HR and business communications, training and education, supporting materials and continuous improvement and feedback loops, driving up the quality of performance management conversations and activities across the business.
  • To work with HR Directors, Area HR Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure completion rates and deadlines are achieved and to drive up the quality of performance conversations through coaching and training.
  • To ensure LR’s Behavioural Competences are fit for purpose and regularly reviewed and updated in line with strategic or cultural requirements.
  • Eliminated or minimise employee’s exposure to risks by reviewing, regularly, the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessment and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LR activities.
  • Manage your own compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance, observe safety behaviours in the workplace, taking appropriate corrective and preventative action as necessary and suggesting and implementing improvement activities.


To be considered

  • Able to flex between hands-on system and data management and strategic thought leadership
  • Experience of project management in an HR environment and/or systems environment preferred
  • Experience of change management in an HR environment and/or systems environment preferred
  • Experience of implementing HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Experience of performance management best practice and approaches
  • A passion for great performance management, feedback and enabling leaders to fulfil their role
  • Structured, with high degrees of accuracy
  • Outward facing, taking a realistic view of best practice
