What we’re looking for 

We are looking for a talented and experienced Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to join our team. In this role, you will drive the go-to-market strategy by collaborating closely with the Account Based Marketing team. This includes capturing and providing market insights as part of the vision and roadmap development as well as messaging that goes together with the launch so that our colleagues and customers are excited about our products.

You will be able to collaborate cross-functionally within the business to develop innovative programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to grasp and present our product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems.

In addition to the marketing team, you will regularly collaborate with product managers, sales channels and service delivery; it’s a balancing act that requires strong diplomatic skills, including knowing when to push back and when to dive in.

The role 

Drawing on market, voice of customer and competitive research conducted by the insight team, and feedback from both sales and operational teams, formulate competitively differentiated value propositions and messaging frameworks for the products within your portfolio

Understand and document our colleagues and buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our account based marketing team, the wider sales and marketing teams, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.

Deliver the portfolio’s marketing plan including commissioning and coordinating digital and physical activities through the marketing operations, external relations, strategic content, sales and account management teams

Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back to the business on required changes.

  

What you bring 

Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; MBA preferred.

5+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)

Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.

Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Demandbase, Pardot and Google Analytics.

Power user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp as well as CRM tools such as Slack  / Salesforce.
