At Lloyd’s Register, we exist to create a safer world. As a Project Manager in our Group Programmes and Portfolio function, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic initiatives that drive innovation, sustainability, and digital excellence across our global operations.

You’ll work alongside Portfolio Managers, Change Managers, Business Analysts, and fellow Project Managers to lead complex, cross-functional projects that support our mission to enhance safety and performance in critical industries worldwide.

This is your opportunity to grow within a purpose-driven organization that values integrity, independence, and impact.

What we offer you

  • The opportunity to work for an organization that has a strong sense of purpose, is values driven and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes
  • Global Impact: Contribute to projects that support safety, sustainability, and innovation in industries that matter — from maritime to energy to digital assurance.
  • Career Development: Access world-class learning, leadership development, and career mobility opportunities within a globally respected organization.
  • Innovation & Purpose: Be part of a transformation journey that blends cutting-edge technology with a 260-year legacy of trust and independence.
  • Inclusive Culture: Join a diverse, values-led team that fosters collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.

The role

  • Deliver Strategic Projects: Lead the end-to-end delivery of global projects aligned with LR’s transformation agenda, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with global teams including Portfolio Management, Change Management, and Business Analysis to ensure cohesive planning, execution, and benefit realization.
  • Engage Stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion Best Practices: Apply and promote modern project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery frameworks.
  • Manage Risk & Governance: Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring compliance with LR’s governance standards and reporting requirements.
  • Support Change & Adoption: Work closely with Change Managers to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Contribute to a Learning Culture: Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and support the development of project management capabilities across the organization.

What you bring

  • Solid experience (typically 5+ years) in project management, ideally in a global or complex organizational environment.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and the ability to apply them pragmatically.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with change management and business analysis functions is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and value delivery.
  • Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or AgilePM are advantageous.
