Junior Recruiter – UK roles

Salary: £32-£34k + excellent benefits

Location: Home-based/hybrid

Looking to sharpen your recruitment skills? Here’s a junior role where you’ll be given plenty of responsibility, quickly, helping hiring managers across a global business to fill vital roles within the UK.

Best of all, you’ll be doing it all for a positive purpose: helping to make the world a safer place.

About the role

Part of a small, supportive recruitment team in a fast-moving environment, you’ll help with attraction and recruitment for positions across Lloyd’s Register. You’ll take ownership of your own projects, taking pride in providing hiring managers with a responsive service and delivering exemplary candidate experience to applicants searching for their ideal job.

If you want to learn from the best and develop your strategic thinking skills, it’s an ideal move. As you grow into the role, you’ll learn to:

  • Use your creativity to keep filling both short- and long-term vacancies.

  • Interpret some fascinating recruitment data, applying your insight to support a global recruitment operation.

  • Understand when there are risks recruiting talent from global locations in terms of visas, work permits and border agency working

  • Ensure all the right recruitment processes are followed on SAP SuccessFactors – if you’ve used it before, great.

About you

Maybe you’re already working in-house but looking for a broader range of challenges, or a business with a stronger sense of purpose. Alternatively, this could be a great move forward for an agency recruiter.

Either way, you’re at the point in your career where you’ve grasped the basics and you’re ready to accelerate. To do that, above all you’ll need the right personal skills. Success will depend heavily on cultivating good partnerships with hiring managers – your customers. They’ll invariably see it as your responsibility to fill vacancies, so you’ll need plenty of tact, and persuasion to make sure they’re pulling their weight to keep the process on track.

If you’re happy being hands-on, using your organisational flair to manage your own workload, you’ll thrive – whether you’re working from home or, as things get back to normal, in our Southampton or London office.

Why join us?

  • You’ll be part of an independent organisation with a strong purpose – one that’s guided by principles, not just profit.
  • Big company benefits including 25 days’ holiday, private health cover, dental cover and lots more.
  • Work-life balance. We’ve been working flexibly and at home for years; we’re really good at it.
  • A world of opportunity. Succeed in this role and there are so many different, interesting routes for you to explore
