Senior Consultant, Advisory Delivery (Generalist)
Lloyd’s Register
Location: Miami, Florida / USA
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a structured, consulting-trained generalist to join our Americas Business Advisory team in Miami, delivering client-facing advisory support across maritime, ports, energy and sustainability engagements. You will work directly with clients and senior advisors to frame problems, conduct analysis and deliver executive-ready outputs, owning workstreams end-to-end. The role balances regular in-person client engagement with remote flexibility and is consulting first rather than technical: you will collaborate with specialists while owning the structure, synthesis and communication.
What we offer you
The opportunity to work for an organization that has a clear sense of purpose, is guided by values and helps colleagues to develop professionally and personally through our range of people development programmes
Full-time
The role
- Own discrete workstreams within advisory engagements, delivering high-quality analysis and synthesis with limited supervision.
- Translate ambiguous client questions into structured problem statements, hypotheses and actionable recommendations.
- Conduct desktop research, document reviews, stakeholder interviews and structured analysis to generate insights.
- Operate effectively in changing environments with evolving priorities and tight timelines.
- Build Excel-based analyses to support business cases, scenario modelling, benchmarking and operational insights.
- Develop structured analytical frameworks to evaluate strategic, operational and financial questions.
- Synthesise complex information into clear, decision-oriented insights for senior stakeholders.
- Create executive-level PowerPoint presentations with clear storylines, structured messaging and professional exhibits.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in client meetings, summarising discussions and bringing clarity to next steps.
- Produce clear, accurate meeting notes capturing decisions, actions, owners and deadlines.
- Develop and manage workplans, timelines and action trackers to maintain delivery discipline.
- Maintain high standards of consulting hygiene, including documentation, version control and traceability of assumptions.
- Support proposal development and contribute to reusable advisory tools, templates and methodologies.
- Assist with in-person client meetings and workshops, including creating agendas and summarising key takeaways.
- Establish credibility with client stakeholders through a professional approach, consistent follow-through and well-structured communication.
- Act as a connective layer between technical specialists and client leadership, translating complex content into strategic implications.
What you bring
- Significant experience in management consulting, advisory services or a comparable client-facing role.
- Experience owning workstreams and delivering executive-ready outputs with limited supervision.
- Background operating in complex, shifting settings with senior-level stakeholders.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create well-organised, executive-ready presentations with minimal oversight.
- Proficient Excel skills, along with the ability to carry out structured analysis and modelling on your own.
- Clear, structured, written and verbal communication skills.
- Structured and disciplined, with the ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward in a busy work environment.
- Self-motivated, easy to work with and comfortable handling responsibilities in client-facing environments.
- Willingness to be Miami-based and travel regularly to local and regional client sites, typically weekly depending on engagement needs.
- A bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
You are someone who
- Is keen to take accountability and ownership for delivering customer needs
- Is able to self-manage and prioritize tasks to meet goals
- Is effective at solving problems, trouble-shooting and making timely decisions
- Is flexible and ready to take initiatives
- Communicates in a structured way and has ability to present technical ideas in user-friendly language
- Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment
- Responds positively to learning opportunities and is comfortable stepping out of own comfort zone
