We are currently looking for someone to strengthen our team in Italy.

 

What will you do    

 

As Industrial Surveyor, you will :

  • Perform complex assessments, provide specialist advice/solution and training to internal/external clients, research or development work within agreed parameters including budget and contractual requirements. 
  • Produce the deliverable within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other employees' work as requested. 
  • Discuss/present the deliverable with internal/external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Undertake routine administration as required in line with the current processes and procedures.
  • Assess/recommend the time/value of work to be undertaken for an external client within an agreed fee/cost structure within the commercial aspect of the contract, and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and Lloyds Register's standard terms and conditions (e.g. commercial notice).
  • Pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness. 
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation and industry standards.
  • Technically develop other employees as appropriate to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.
  • Contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate by acting as point of contact to effectively manage client and LR relationships.
  • Make recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in service delivery improvement and to help build the business.
  • Undertake project management where applicable including monitoring project performance against budget and contract requirements.

 

What do we ask from you 

  • Shall possess a relevant Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent.  An additional higher tertiary degree e.g. Masters may be preferred in some regions.
  • Preferably a qualified ASME Inspector with experiences on PED, Welding and NDE.
  • Shall possess sufficient relevant previous working experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the relevant specialist requirements, knowledge and application.
  • Likely to have 6-10 years relevant working experience.
