Business Development Manager Marine & Offshore, France

We are a leading international provider of classification, compliance & consultancy services to the marine & offshore industry, helping our customers design, construct & operate their assets to the highest levels of safety & performance. We are seeking to grow our business development team in France with a new role to develop our Maritime and Offshore business in the Paris, West and North coasts of France. This is a new role in the organisation with great challenge ahead!

 

You will 

  • Manage existing accounts and expand the client base to achieve sustainable market share growth of the Marine & Offshore core & advisory business.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the assigned group of accounts, focussing on the customer experience to enhance loyalty and build long-term relationships, to be responsible for responding day to day queries including technical /operational questions/issues of these accounts
  • Manage commercial focus and find new business opportunities thorough understanding of the shipping market and marine environment
  • Deliver the assigned sales, revenue, margin and cash targets
  • Actively participate in Maritime & Offshore events and seminars

 

You will need

  • Qualified and experienced Naval Architect, Marine Engineer or equivalent 
  • Knowledge/ Experience on Marine and/or Offshore industries, including renewables, will be considered an advantage
  • Sales experience or attitude is important for this role
  • Strong commercial awareness. Ability to develop strategic action plans based on input from key persons.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills in French and English 
  • Ability to work both independently as well as an effective member of a team
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience is expected
