What we’re looking for
You will manage projects ranging from average to complex, or a work package from a more complex project.
You will act as single point of contact for clients to effectively manage client and LR relationship. You will support the management of a high complexity project. You may also be involved in single projects or a programme/ portfolio of projects for one or more client contracts, and perform work / service delivery for internal/external clients, where the parameters are defined and the work is within the contract SoW.

The role
- Responsible for managing single / multiple projects aligned with LR Commercial Bid Notice.
- Preparing deliverables within the agreed parameters in a defined format & within an agreed timescale. Ensures LR deliverables are of required standard and quality before they are released to Clients – internally/ externally. Presentation of project reports as required, ensuring good quality of work & aligned to the KPI’s and agreed processes.
- Delivering services to internal/external clients in accordance with internal processes/ procedures (e.g. PMF, BMS, BYD/CIT etc.). Undertakes resource allocation & planning, organisation & management as necessary in relation to assigned projects.
- Support and assist the Proposals & Bid Management team and or Senior Project Manager with all aspects of the bid and tender development process. Ensure all bid support activities are completed in time in order to meet the submission deadlines. All bid/ CTR development activities are carried out as per internal guidance / processes and GPT estimates are approved internally by Global Projects Management or Line Manager prior to submissions. LR Commercial Notice to be adhered to at all times.
- Monitors the budget and overall service delivery for all aspects of the assigned projects through the planning, cost, time and quality control processes, including regular project / contract reviews, invoicing, project reporting and close out. Contract compliance and management to include change control and contract variations in accordance with PMF/ internal procedures. These are to be recorded in accordance with the PMF/ PMO process.
- Has an understanding of the LR contract risk & issue management procedures. Ensures this is applied and uses the project RAID register for all projects. Risks/ issues are escalated to the appropriate project governance level / line manager for timely action as necessary.
- Lessons Learned are recorded and managed using the project RAID register for all projects and reviewed throughout the project life-cycle and at close out. Applicable lessons are recorded with the PMO.
- Ensures compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements raising concerns with the Line Manager/ reporting Project/ Programme/ Portfolio Managers proactively.
- Support and provide guidance to junior members of the team as requested/ required.
- To pursue Continuing Professional Development and maintain a degree of technical & discipline knowledge and awareness.
What you bring
- Degree preferred in an Engineering, Project Management or Science subject.
- Strong experience of project management protocols ideally working as part of project teams.
- Awareness and application of project management tools (APM, Prince2 etc.) and processes whilst adhering to legal and commercial requirements.
- Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines. Takes ownership of work assigned and completes to the expected level of Quality.
- Possessing good communication skills, including technical report writing.
- Proven experience and knowledge of effective and timely co-ordination of budgets and financial processes relating to various projects.
- Pragmatic, empathetic and credible with clients and have a high standard of personal presentation.
- Good influencing and motivational skills demonstrated through advice, counsel or facilitating services to others.
