As a Service Delivery Manager, you will lead and manage the Australia & New Zealand's Marine and Offshore Service Delivery team (including Operations, Project team and Marine Management System), with responsibility for executing on contracts through provision of manpower, resources, and information in Australia & New Zealand.  You will guide and lead the Service Delivery team to: plan for jobs and schedule resources appropriately; ensure technical quality of all work performed; record costs and complete documentation efficiently and accurately; and continually ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.  You will work closely with the other members of the Area Leadership team in delivering and continuously improving the client journey.


What You Will Do:

  1. Provide visible leadership in Service Delivery in the Area and lead the effective delivery of Marine, Offshore, Naval and all other services to clients and on behalf of global clients as SDO
  2. Responsible for the effective management of all operational staff through Senior Surveyors in Charge, Lead Surveyors and/or Group Leaders
  3. To ensure external and internal client expectations are understood and that the services offered meet these expectations and remain in accordance with technical, regulatory requirements and processes
  4. To ensure all quality KPIs and any other given KPIs are in line with global performance targets is implemented across the area
  1. Work closely and in collaboration with Sales & Marketing, Service Delivery Support, TSO and other functions to ensure highly effective teams and collaboration to deliver the planned growth and development
  2. To lead, manage and develop the team to maintain an effective and competitive service. This includes recruitment, performance management and training / development. To ensure the continuous training and skills development of staff is effectively planned and executed
  3. Responsible for resource planning including budget setting, prioritising, delegating and monitoring of activities and achievements of the business area taking into account commercial and contractual requirements pertinent to delivery
  4. Deal with business queries and build relationships with internal and external clients, as appropriate, to resolve service problems and help build the business
  5. To mentor/coach team members, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application


Who We Are Looking For:

  • A Leader who has previous experience working as Operations Manager/Area Manager level within Marine & Offshore industry preferrable in Class
  • You will have proven experience of successfully manging a significant operation, demonstration of strong leadership skills
  • You are an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to negotiate win-win outcomes from demanding situations. You are a believer in team spirit and collaboration
  • You would have demonstrated the ability to motivate / inspire and lead the team to achieve their goals
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt responsibilities and to take on new challenges as the role develops
