What will you do?

As a Senior HR Advisor with Lloyd’s Register you are the all-round professional who is working on all of the challenging and interesting facets of Human Resources. Whether this is advising on contracts for permanent or subcontractor employees, legal cases, on-boarding activities, or coaching managers, you will be doing it all! You will share your HR expertise with the business in all of its aspects. You will provide effective HR  support to the business in The Netherlands and Belgium in order to meet the business objectives. In this role you will have the responsibility for delivering  HR support to business managers , providing specialist support on a variety of matters, and ensuring LR is working within the legal and governmental framework. . Together with the Area HR Manager, one HR Advisor and one HR Administrator you will work together to support the business in a personal and professional way. You will also a part of a North Europe   HR team and working  with a  Centre of Excellence  in London. You will report to the Area HR manager based in Copenhagem. With about  200 employees and contractors currently working for Lloyd’s Register in The Netherlands and Belgium this role has a challenging scope of work!

Result Areas

  • Provide advice to managers and employees on Group policies, local laws and terms and conditions when needed.
  • Drive employee relations and process improvement activities, while ensuring consistency in policies and practices and coordinate the implementation of specific Business Stream projects.
  • Work together with the other HR team members on HR projects for Lloyd’s Register in the Benelux and at the North Europe level as well as Lloyd’s Register Group to implement global and local initiatives.
  • Work with the NL Works Council and employee representatives
  • Ensure effective implementation of HR policies
  • Contribute to the development of and execute the actions related to the manpower plan
  • Implement International Assignments policies effectively, administer the processes, as well as providing advice to ex-pats
  • Conduct support activities in accordance with Group Policy and local law and monitors due process for fairness and compliance.
  • Manage legal cases effectively according to (local) policies and guidelines.
  • Support Managers and employees using the performance management system (PPP) effectively
  • Support and actively participate in local action plans as required, i.e. participate in EOS (Employee Opinion Survey) follow up engagement sessions
  • Demonstrate the Values in all aspects of your work and interactions with others.
  • Ensure HR management information is provided on a regular basis.


What do you need to apply?

  • At least bachelor graduated (social sciences or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years HR generalist working experience in complex (preferably multinational) company 
  • Up to date knowledge of Dutch labour and social security laws is a must
  • Experience in delivering labour policies and regulations
  • Knowledge of Belgium labour and social security laws is an asset
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written, oral)
  • Experience using MS Office
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with International Assignment Policies is an asset
