Business Development Manager (BDM) – Business Assurance

Job Responsibilities
As a BDM you will grow and develop our market position within The Netherlands and North Europe. With your commercial network and drive you will grasp every lead to expand current business or develop new business opportunities within defined areas, sectors and services. Working with sales targets is something that gives you the energy and challenge you desire to function at your best. With your knowledge and experience you will contribute to the commercial aspects of accounts and participate and lead tenders for larger clients. Client contacts are an important part of the job and a substantial amount of your time will be dedicated to this to discuss projects and build on relationships. With your natural social way of interacting you are able to build and maintain relationships with key customers to the organization. You should be able to act quickly on new market developments and respond swiftly to your client’s needs as they evolve.

  • Contact new clients in sectors in line with your sales targets focus on our strategic goals and grow our business.
  • Up sell to existing major and key account clients
  • Work and act in the sales team as a senior member and contribute as such.
  • Build relations in the organisation and with our clients
  • Use and manage the sales process in Salesforce with strong pipeline management
  • Work with the global account and Tender team on large tenders
  • Work in close coordination with other BCM’s, the sales managers and the area sales manager

 Job Requirements  

  • (Technical) degree or professional qualification with commercial experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in a comparable commercial role
  • Willingness to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in working in the certification sector (ISO standards)
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch (as native language) and English, written as well as spoken is a minimum requirement.
  • You are a solid networker, able to communicate at all levels within an organization, building effective relationships with customers, the sales team and other stakeholders
  • Successful in closing contracts
  • Willingness to travel as business needs dictate, all within existing restriction.
  • Competences: Commercial, Analytical, Assertive, Pro-active, Team player
