Electrical Control Engineer Surveyor

A dynamic maritime experienced Electrical Control Engineer Surveyor who will support with surveying all types of ships during construction.

As an international organization, you will have good oral and written knowledge of English.

The role 

 

  • New Construction surveys of all types of ships during construction.
  • Surveys of material and equipment intended for marine applications at manufacturers' works and laboratories.
  • Plan approval of submitted plans.
  • Understanding and interpreting national and international rules and regulations applicable to marine assets.
  • Understanding the basic principles of risk management
  • Providing good control of projects, including communicating with clients, financial control, and timely and accurate reporting.

 

 

What you bring 

 

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical/Control engineering
  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years program) or qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s engineer officer.
  • To use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to optimize the application of existing and emerging technology.
  • To be able to apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to the analysis and solution of engineering problems.
  • To demonstrate effective interpersonal skills including communication in English at all levels, Dutch language skills are a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel outside of the area on an occasional basis.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the maritime sector
