That is why we are looking for a professional being part of our Technical Support global team which will play a key role to achieve this. Supporting on pre-contract activities and managing the scope of work of approval documentation of New Construction Mega Yachts projects for clients based in the Netherlands, will provide to the candidate the opportunity to very much increase experience in the Mega Yachts Regulatory Framework and create a unique network with the most important Shipyards and within LR.

The role

  • To provide support and coordinate Technical Support Office (TSO) activity as needed by Commercial Team during pre-contract phases of Marine New Construction Opportunities.
  • To take the role of New Construction Design Appraisal Project Coordinator in line with the responsibilities assigned by LR policies for the role and in particular:
  1. To effectively manage cost time and quality of the assigned New Building Projects, in line with contractual requirements (e. g. schedule & milestones, hours actuals vs budget, projects manpower, management of variations from baseline and work scope)
  2. To lead and support Design appraisal Project Team during the overall project duration.
  3. To build relationship and communicate effectively with external clients.
  4. To liaise with Site Team and Site Project Manager in order to work as one project team to achieve the LR KPIs objectives, and deliver on schedule.
  • To Put Safety First and follow LR Health and Safety requirements for the role.
  • Actively seek to ensure external and internal client satisfaction.

 

What you bring  

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organization recognized by Lloyd’s Register in the relevant field of engineering or physical science.
  • Marine Technical Background
  • Previous years of experience in design or design appraisal activities.
  • Good communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to adapt and work to tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in the English language and Dutch that is suitable for the nature of the work
