Team Leader Business Development – Business Assurance

Job Responsibilities
As a Team leader manage your team and grow and develop our market position within The Netherlands and North Europe. You challenge and motivate the Business Development Managers to expand current business or develop new business opportunities within defined areas, sectors and services. Working with and achieving sales targets is something that gives you the energy and challenges your desire to function at your best. With your knowledge and experience you will contribute to the commercial aspects of accounts and you participate in, lead or supervise tender processes for larger clients. Client contacts are an important part of the job and a substantial amount of your time will be dedicated to this to discuss projects and build on relationships. With your natural social way of interacting you can build and maintain relationships with key customers to the organization. You should be able to act quickly on new market developments and respond swiftly to our client’s needs as they evolve.

  • Recruit, develop and lead a sales team with the right skills and mindset to execute sales plans prepared by you.
  • Ensure the delivery of budgeted growth and specific objectives for new and existing clients in your area(s) of responsibility in line with company’s procedures
  • Manage the individual performance of team members, using appropriate techniques and styles to achieve the right results.
  • Prepare and monitor account plans for any named Major Account customers or targets allocated, ensuring the right focus and priority is given to successful implementation and targets are met.
  • Work and act in the wider sales team as a senior member and contribute as such.
  • Build relations in the organisation and with our clients
  • Use and manage the sales processes in Salesforce with strong pipeline management
  • Work with the global account manager and tender team on large tenders
  • Manage your own and your team's health and safety performance to ensure we work safely.


 Job Requirements  

  • Bachelor’s degree with commercial experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a comparable commercial role
  • Willingness to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with working in the certification sector (ISO standards)
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch (as native language) and English, written as well as spoken is a minimum requirement.
  • You are a solid networker, able to communicate at all levels within an organization, building effective relationships with customers, the sales team and other stakeholders
  • Successful in closing contracts
  • Willingness to travel as business needs dictate, all within existing restrictions.
