The Service Delivery Manager is a key role at the centre of all Lloyd's Register operations and contributes his day-to-day specialist knowledge within their discipline and / or lead in projects which provide commercially focussed support and / or service delivery to internal and / or external clients. To determine solutions for problems, within their discipline, where the parameters are not well defined and where previous experience does not provide any precedent.
Ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our assigned clients - whether internal and external - you will combine your technical skills with your talent for leading and motivating others, managing people and systems equally. 



You will:

•    Lead a team of (Senior) Surveyors and provide guidance, coaching and support by managing and evaluating the teams effectiveness and taking corrective action in line with relevant processes. This includes recruitment, performance management and training / development.
•    Responsible for interpreting the business plans and costing structure into goals and objectives for the business area and changes /developments required for the systems, processes and procedures.
•    Support bid and tender process
•    Management and oversight of project schedules, financial tracking, contract risks management procedures and issues plus associated project documentation and supports compliance with all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
•    Accountable for a portfolio of projects and ensure they are in accordance with quality system requirements, cost structures and budgetary / contractual requirements.
•    Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes (TCVT / ISO17020 and ISO17065), legislation (Oil &Gas and Renewable Energy projects) , and industry codes & standards.
•    To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
•    To mentor / coach other employees, as appropriate, to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application.


You will need:

•    A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.
•    Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
•    Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
•    Good cooperation and communication skills
•    Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
•    Demonstrates ability to project manage and co-ordinate activities within department/area and supervise effectively to support Lloyd's Register goals.   Has effective working knowledge of managerial concepts and techniques.
