Location: Sweden – Gothenburg (Remote)

 

As an international organization, you will have good proficiency in the English languages commensurate with the work. Swedish language skills will be a plus!

 

This role requires work authorization for the respective country.

 

What we’re looking for 

 

A Marine Surveyor who supports our Team with his engineering expertise. You will be part of a team of passionate technicians, independently visiting sites, inspecting vessels in-service, and examining equipment & components for the marine industry.

The role 

 

  • Performing classification and statutory surveys on board existing and new building ships
  • Lead surveys on specific high-risk activities
  • Carry out reporting in an accurate and timely manner and ensure that the reporting is both technically and legally correct.
  • Offer extensive advice, and applicable consultancy in areas of modern marine industry
  • Continue your professional development and maintain discipline, knowledge, and awareness, and mentor or coach colleagues as appropriate.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.

 

  What you bring 

 

  • A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the field of marine engineering or naval architecture.
  • Working experience from classification, shipping companies, or shipbuilding industry.
  • An awareness of the marine business environment in the onboard work as well as developing existing business and reaching for new opportunities.
  • A good knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written). Knowledge in Swedish is merited.
  • To be IT literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package.
  • A Swedish or EU driver’s license for personal cars. ”B- license” as minimum
