We are looking for experienced subcontract Food Safety Trainers with ISO22000/FSSC22000 and/or ISO9001 Lead Auditor certification.


Successful candidates will deliver client and internal training to adult learners using traditional and accelerated-learning techniques, largely in classroom settings but also through remote or distance learning (virtual, instructor-led training) and in blended / hybrid classes.  You will execute pre-event, event and post-event activities as required by a training course design specification including: course familiarization, delivery of training in accordance with lesson plans while meeting Lloyd’s Register brand-values and student assessment.

Applicants should have the following experience and credentials:


  • Education – Graduate degree, from an accredited institution, in education, science, business administration, engineering or technology.
  • Compensated experience as a professional or corporate trainer and/or university/college-level professor or adjunct faculty. Preferred experience should include curricula development and student assessment, oral communication, writing and interpersonal skills, along with knowledge of diverse, constructive and effective teaching methods and group facilitation.  
  • IRCA (or equivalent), Lead Assessor certification for a minimum of one ISO management system standard.
  • Practical experience in conducting management system audits.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to assimilate new information technologies as needed.  Familiarity with on-line instructional platforms (WebEx, Zoom, Adobe Connect) is a plus.


Required is a minimum of five years of full-time work experience in the food-chain-related industry, including at least two years of work in quality assurance or food safety functions within food production or manufacturing, retailing, inspection or enforcement, or the equivalent.  Knowledge should be demonstrated of ISO 22000 and associated guidance (for example ISO 22002-1, ISO 22003 and ISO 22004), Codex Alimentarius HACCP principles and a working knowledge of their application in a variety of food industry sectors, typically gained as a consultant implementing food safety management systems or as an auditor for a certification body or second party.  Familiarity with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act is welcome.
