What we’re looking for
Bring your Class society, offshore certification, and engineering skills to our Marine and Offshore Surveyor role. We are seeking to add a Marine and Offshore Senior Surveyor to support our expanding business in Brazil. The focus for this role will be to support existing ship surveys in the North and Northeast areas in Brazil, for both domestic and foreign flag vessels.

The role
- Experience working as a marine and offshore surveyor [preferably with an IACS member], or an equivalent combination of field experience as a ship superintendent or chief engineer dealing with both ships and offshore assets
- Significant technical competence in existing ship associated statutory requirements
- Previous authorization to perform ISM, ISPS and MLC audits
- The ability to travel throughout the region and also all over Brazil is required
- To discuss and present the deliverable with the internal / external client and be able to suggest solutions as necessary
- Previous experience in ship’s dry docking and special surveys on ESP vessels is required
What you bring
- A degree or equivalent within a relevant field of engineering study and to be registered on Brazilian Engineering Council
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the marine industry, including surveyor and auditor experience.
- Fluency in both the Portuguese and English language (verbal and written)
- Thorough understanding of the local marine and offshore environment
- Ability to participate in and add value to technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues
- Organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
