Role purpose:

This role will focus on supporting marketing activities including:

  • Being part of a marketing team to support that global growth driving marketing strategies and plans are translated into specific joint actions and implemented in Greater China.
  • Working closely with Commercial and global Marketing team for campaigns and events planning and execution.
  • Assisting in localizing, creating and managing tailored marketing content for social media and local marketing collaterals in line with business strategy, corporate communications strategy by working closely with the Area Marketing Manager and all key stakeholders.
  • Supporting in media activities and public relationships.
  • Managing external vendor relationships and communications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Area Marketing Manager and key stakeholders to develop and implement marketing strategies, raise brand awareness, and generate leads within targeted product and service categories for growth to budget.

Work closely with global marketing teams and local key stakeholders to localize or develop marketing materials including articles on Wechat, press releases, articles, speeches, invitation letters, e-posters and other external/internal communication content required.

Drive content adoption and optimization to ensure all content is fully optimized across relevant channels via tagging, linking and rapidly implementing any new social media technology.

Coordinate and assist with various marketing activities with good follow-up summary and action, e.g. online/offline events, webinars, tradeshows, customer seminars, campaigns etc.

Assist in tracking and measuring all digital content performance from traffic generation to lead conversion, to ensure that marketing objectives are met, within permitted budget constraints.

Assist in monitoring and studying competitors or collecting potential market trends as necessary, to provide insight into communications strategies.

Assist the Area Marketing Manager to complete data collection, basic data analysis, reporting and other routine reporting in daily work.

Support marketing procurement process and coordinate with agencies/vendors to ensure agencies’ proper support to LR's projects.

Other tasks assigned by the line manager upon business need.

 

Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:

Assess the risks and work in a safe manner at all times, robustly implementing health and safety rules, instructions and systems and refuse to undertake work that compromises your safety or health.

Report in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations (NMSO), accidents and injuries and raise any health and safety concerns with your line manager.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

Degree level education from a recognised institution. A degree in a marketing/literature discipline is considered a plus.

At least 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing roles, ideally in B2B marketing and campaign coordination. Background in maritime and energy industry is preferred.

Familiar with social media, eg. Wechat and digital marketing.

Excellent English and Chinese language capabilities both in written and orally.

A strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude that is able to work collaboratively with cross-functions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel & PPT.

Experience with CRM would be a plus.

Able to work independently and willing to take initiative.

Quick learner and self-motivator, actively acquiring knowledge and skills required.
