Project Manager

The Onboarding Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful integration of new national and multi-national clients and new standards into the Food business.  The post-holder will manage the day-to-day activities of Onboarding new clients and new standards to time, cost, quality and scope as agreed with the client.

The post-holder will be experienced in Project Management methodologies and their application, and will provide leadership, expertise and guidance to the project team. The post-holder will report directly to the Global Client Configuration and Onboarding Manager.


You will be an ambassador for Lloyds Register, ensuring the delivery of successful client projects supporting the delivery of strategic goals and objectives.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the successful transition of clients from Sales and handover to Operations upon completion of the client Onboarding project


  1. Responsible for managing the project deliverables and project team(s) ensuring adherence to the LR Investment Project process and best-practise


  1. To maintain project governance on Project Delivery Meetings


  1. Accountable for ensuring technical demonstrations for clients / internal teams related to the systems used by Food business are effective when performed by Onboarding Project Managers / Onboarding IT Configuration Technical Specialists. Be prepared to conduct demonstrations of our LR platforms to client sales pitches and tenders

  1. Building lasting relationships with new and existing clients using a combination of personal and technical skills


  1. Working with our customers to solve daily business problems


  1. Work with our customers to gather appropriate information and form a plan of action with them


  1. Producing plans and reports defining project progress, problems and solutions


  1. Assisting with the maintenance of a RAID log for each project


  1. Consistent delivery of work through collaboration and sharing and embedding lessons learned



Job Requirement:

  1. You will be educated to degree level in a related discipline.


  1. You will have experience managing several complex concurrent projects.


  1. You will be able to succinctly report project progress to senior management.


  1. You will work well within a team (both internal and client facing) to ensure the best solution is delivered.


  1. You will have experience managing project scope with demonstrable knowledge of how to manage change to scope.


  1. You will have demonstrable experience of communicating with and influencing clients through complex delivery.


  1. You will have good commercial acumen, being able to effectively manage the third-party suppliers and the overall project budget.


  1. You should have experience of using project management tools and techniques, including risk and issue management


  1. You will be fluent in both English and Mandarin. Other languages are also beneficial.


  1. You should have formal Project Management Training (Prince2 / Agile Project Management) or other recognized project management training is desirable
