Assistant Engineering Specialist - Fuel Oil Bunker Analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To carry out technical assessments of marine fuel analysis against defined ISO specifications
  2. To assist in producing fuel analysis reports, certificates, summaries to an agreed format and within an agreed timescale
  3. Provide administrative assistance as required to the whole team and assist the admin team focusing on issuing of invoices, amending of tax codes, assisting with debt chasing for Fuel Oil Bunker Analysis (FOBAS) clients, managing client queries and logistics related issues
  4. Create and maintain computer databases (fuel quality data, technical investigation data) and analyse the data as and when required
  5. To assist in conducting technical investigations and providing technical support to clients on fuel related queries that arise regularly from fuel analysis reports
  6. To assist FOBAS technical team on service delivery, focusing on global clients and undertake the FOBAS service delivery under the defined reporting KPIs. Participate in the FOBAS team meetings.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a diploma or degree in Marine Engineering or other relevant Engineering courses. Or sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s engineering officer
  • At least 2-5 years working experience in Marine Fuel management area
  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work
  • Knowledge of marine fuel systems fitted onboard ships
