What we’re looking for 

A Technical Key Account Manager (TKAM) who contributes to providing support to our clients in the resolution of their technical queries and technical cases, in accordance with the agreed targets. In particular, for Strategic Key Accounts and within the TKAM role, to support business development through ensuring technical relationship growth by proactively engaging on matters of technical needs as well as on ongoing technical projects including New Buildings, and challenges, liaising appropriately with all stakeholders of the respective strategic relation.

The role 

  • Managing end-to-end technical queries and cases as per the relevant process of the GTCC (Global Technical Client Care) unit. This is understood to generally start with monitoring the GTCC mailbox, triaging, assigning, solving, and communicating to clients as well as internally.
  • Pursuant to relevant technical experience to perform complex assessments and provide specialist advice to clients, effectively considering all alternatives towards reaching solutions that combine compliance with commercial awareness and client expectations.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding the set service level agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Driving the development of an LR culture with the client as the center.
  • To make recommendations based on internal/external client feedback to assist in service delivery improvement and to help build the business.
  • Working alongside the Key Account Managers, contribute day-to-day specialist knowledge within their discipline and provide commercially focused support.

 

 

What you bring 

  • A degree or equivalent from a University within the relevant field of engineering or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s officer.
  • Proven experience commensurate with the role and directly related with or originating from Flag Authorities, or Classification departments of Classification Societies, or Classification departments of Ship owning companies or Third Party Managers.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent command (written and oral) in English language using relevant professional terminology. Knowledge of Japanese or other language of Asia Pacific will be considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in local language is considered an advantage.
