What we’re looking for 

As part of this role, as a Balance Sheet Accountant you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our balance sheet through meticulous reconciliation processes. We expect you to have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments

   The role 

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances by collaborating with various departments
  • Develop and maintain a system for tracking and resolving discrepancies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Prepare and post journal entries to correct identified discrepancies and adjust financial records accordingly
  • Analyse and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers to ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors
  • Other duties as reasonably required

 

 

What you bring 

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in technical background
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
  • SAP knowledge, in particular Business by Design, advantageous
