With an ideal start date as of 01st July 2021 we are looking for a Compliance and Data Analyst. The position is full-time. Candidates from all locations will be considered.


As a Compliance and Data Analyst you will evaluate the data for the Lloyd’s Register (LR) fleet to assess risk, trend and compliance levels with regulations and applicable requirements such as sanctions. You will provide management information and recommendations to measure and improve performance and efficiency of processes around the LR fleet.


You will:

  • Perform complex assessments using available data from multiple sources to analyse the performance and compliance of the LR supported fleet.
  • Produce the reporting information within the agreed parameters in an appropriate format and take responsibility to review other colleague’s work as requested.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in line with the needs of the business.
  • Provide bespoke key management information in line with the agreed requirements and timelines
  • Undertake detailed analysis of key management information, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and communicate these to key stakeholders based on requirements in a timely manner in order to drive improvements in business performance
  • Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders to identify and examine alternative sources of information to continuously improve the quality of analysis to benefit the business.
  • Provide oversight of the data, quality and structure in LR specific systems (MAST and CMRO) to ensure quality of data.
  • Discuss / present the deliverable with the internal / external client at a senior level and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work with the commercial teams to ensure data systems are developed and in place to support new and expanding market opportunities.
  • Mentor / coach other technical employees to achieve effective technical knowledge transfer and application.
  • Undertake administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.




You will need:


  • IT literate (Office 365) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with BI tools preferably Power BI.
  • Degree desirable in relevant subject or a minimum of 3 years relevant and equivalent experience.
  • Experienced with systems and methods for collecting and analysing data including data extraction and manipulation.
  • Knowledge and experience of project management methodologies and programme governance
  • Strong analytical thinking ability and able to quickly and effectively assimilate detailed and complex information to support business decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills to ensure insight is impactful and process strong communication skills to tell and deliver a story through effective presentations.
  • Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work.
  • Understanding or experience in the marine business is an advantage.
