What we’re looking for 

 

As an Environment and Carbon Specialist at LR (Lloyds Register), your primary responsibility is to oversee and minimize the carbon impacts resulting from LR's operations. You will play a crucial role in advancing LR's Net Zero Roadmap. Your deep understanding of carbon accounting, sustainability practices, and commitment will support our organization toward a low-carbon future.

As an international organization, you will have good oral and written knowledge of English.

 

What we offer you 

 

  • Competitive Salary: GBP 35.000 - 40.000 
  • A regular full-time position – Fixed-Term / 12 Months

The role 

 

  • Proven experience in data, analysis, and reporting on carbon and sustainability.
  • Have a natural style that brings sustainability to life with confidence and strong storytelling skills that influence and inspire change.
  • Experience in managing external partners and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Experience in reporting and/or internal communications.
  • Open-minded & collaborative, with sound judgment and a creative edge.
  • Able to manage own time, manage projects in a matrix style, and operate without close supervision.
  • Valuable to have had existing experience in delivering with net zero roadmaps.

 

What you bring 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in carbon management, sustainability, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of carbon accounting principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Certification in sustainability or carbon management is a plus.
