Role Purpose:

The Product Manager will own and deliver the strategic portfolio of Products and Services across Maritime Performance Services (MPS) to deliver MPS growth ambitions and strategic intent.  They will be an expert in Product Management and will develop, prioritise, and deliver the agreed Products and Services suite to differentiate MPS and help meet its strategic intent and ambitious growth aspirations.

 

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the role will maximise value to LR by coordinating multiple stakeholders within a matrix organisation and will provide leadership, coaching, guidance and expertise to ensure that Products and Services are initiated, prioritised, developed and delivered in a structured way, on time and to budget.

 

Role location can be flexible.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the MPS Products and Services Register (PSR) embed within MPS and M&O; manage the alignment of LR systems such as ByD and Salesforce to ensure seamless interoperability and efficient business delivery and business insight; ensure that a customer perspective is taken in the development of any new Products and Services
  • Successful and autonomous management and delivery of all new MPS Products and Services on time and budget to deliver the MPS growth plans and strategic intent; work with MPS Sales and Marketing to ensure that appropriate training resources are delivered
  • Successful and autonomous management and delivery of the Products and Services roadmap and opportunity funnel; alignment and integration of product development activities in Fleet Management and Fleet Optimisation businesses in MPS
  • Develop, apply and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and report on Product and Service health and performance; continuously measure Product and Service commercial value
  • Coordination and alignment of insights, sales, marketing, service delivery and application development capability in the prioritised delivery of successful new MPS Products and Services
  • Identification, management and mitigation of Risk and Opportunities associated with new Products and Services and subsequent impact on MPS revenue and strategy
  • Application of new product Governance ensuring that Conflict of Interest (CoI) is managed in accordance with LR requirements
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as the Programme Management; M&O, Sales, Insights and Group IS to ensure successful new Product and Service delivery in line with the budget, roadmap and plan

 

Requirements

  • Strong experience of delivering Products and Services by shaping complex programmes and facilitating stakeholders at senior levels of the organisation
  • Proven experience of successfully leading, coaching and developing line and matrix teams
  • Strong experience of planning, mobilising and delivering complex technical and business
  • Demonstrable experience of leading large complex projects:
  • Proven track record of successful engagement with and management of stakeholders at all levels, excellent negotiating skills, and excellent influencing skills
  • Expert experience of using programme/project management tools and techniques, including risk & issue management
  • Excellent commercial acumen able to effectively manage the third party suppliers and the overall programme/project budget
  • A proven history of significant, successful and measurable benefits delivery
  • A proven history of producing quality Business Cases that have been successfully delivered
  • Expert experience in preparing complex programme/project plans that contain contingency, tolerances and have proven deliverability with the requested resources and funds to the required quality, scope, and expectations of stakeholders
  • Experience of identification, sourcing and management of people for all aspects of assigned programmes/projects in line with contractual and budgetary agreements
  • Proven track record of strategic financial planning and programme/project financial control
  • Experience, knowledge and expertise of successfully delivering business change solutions within a similar industry, organisation size and scale
  • Results-oriented and customer focused, whilst ensuring all affected teams are equally engaged and aware of programme/project requirements in sufficient time to meet them
  • A proven history of developing, reviewing and challenging business cases through peer review
