As Product Owner, you’ll represent the customer to the development team. You’ll be their voice, their champion, and you’ll maximise the real-world value of the products our Scrum teams build for them.

 

Product Owner’s key responsibilities:

  • Use your high-level perspective to define goals and create a vision for product development
  • Ensure the team maintains a cohesive vision, despite the flexible and fast-paced nature of agile product development
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the board; make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives
  • Prioritise requirements for future product development, based on the overall strategy and business objectives
  • Prioritise needs in terms of scope, budget, and time; weigh priorities according to the needs and objectives of the product and stakeholders
  • Understand and anticipate the client’s needs to more effectively manage the development process
  • Oversee the development and be accountable for each stage of the process and the final product

 

As Product Owner you’ll have:

  • Experience of product development in an agile environment; awareness of Agile software development values and principles
  • Certified Agile Product Owner or PSPO I or above certification or working towards it 
  • Excellent and demonstratable communication and influencing skills at all stakeholder levels, presentation and time management skills. Excellent and demonstratable analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine interest and curiosity for all things digital, data, and digital transformation of traditional practices in the maritime industry
  • Ability to diagrammatically map out current and to-be solutions using business process mapping and use-case mapping
  • Proactive self-starter; self-organised individual with a team-player attitude; you strive to learn more and new skills, and can roll up your sleeves and help any team member when needed
  • Domain knowledge of maritime, naval architecture or structural engineering (highly desirable)
