About the role:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lloyd’s Register’s Maritime Performance Services (LR MPS) group on our journey to be the industry’s trusted advisor that improves the performance and sustainability of our customer’s business.

 

We are currently looking to recruit an organised and engaged delivery manager to work with the global service delivery teams that provide high volume consultancy services to our global client base. The scaled services that we offer are typically associated with shipping decarbonisation and regulatory compliance. Examples include EEXI Technical File preparation, CII assessments, preparations of SEEMPs, and statements of facts for ESG reporting. Due to the high demand for these services, we are looking to recruit a manager to coordinate the full project workflow from contract award to invoicing. The manager will work closely with the business support teams and project delivery teams across the world to ensure an efficient and organised business process.

 

The role will be reporting to the LR MPS Performance, Design and Environment manager and will be for a fixed term contract of 1 year. The requirement to extend the contract will be considered towards the end of the initial contract term.

 

There is flexibility in the location of the role, but preference would be to recruit a candidate that is based in Europe/UK due to working time zones of the delivery teams for the scaled services.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global sales staff central point of contact for contracted services.
  • Allocation of projects to global scales services delivery teams.
  • Communication with the clients to obtain all information required by the delivery teams to undertake the work.
  • Responsible for allocating billable hours to the delivery teams within the LR finance management system, SAP Business ByDesign.
  • Monitoring delivery performance of the delivery teams and initiating the invoicing process through the business administration teams.
  • Calculating and reporting key performance indicators for the scaled services and presenting them to the management team.

 

 To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Educated to degree level from a recognised institution or experience in a role at a similar level of responsibility. Previous experience in an engineering consultancy would be a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience with managing a professional services firms business process.
  • Demonstrable experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning System such as SAP Business ByDesign.
  • Excellent communication skills that are demonstrable through previous communication experience with clients and team members.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels and with a variety of stakeholders including senior managers and influencers.
  • Ability to work effectively with global and remote teams as well as working with different time zones occasionally adapting working hours to other areas’ time zones.
  • Flexibility to take on new challenges with an enquiring mind.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, seeking management input, advice and direction when needed.
  • Ambitious, positive, highly organised, and self-motivated attitude.
  • Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work.
