With an ideal start date as of 01st November 2021 we are looking for a Senior Administrator in our Fleet Services Team. The position is part-time (20 hours a week) on a 1 years fixed term contract and based at Lloyd's Register’s (LR) Global Technology Centre in Southampton, UK.

 

As a Senior Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Entry into Class team regarding the case-handling of ships and other marine/offshore assets in accordance with defined regulatory processes and by using bespoke IT applications and databases.

 

You will:

 

  • Respond to correspondence related to cases involving ships entering or leaving Lloyd’s Register, ensuring compliance with defined regulatory processes and procedures.
  • Use internal and external regulatory database systems to log all cases in accordance with industry-specific Targets and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Undertake periodical analyses of data and produce standardised status reports in order to measure process activity and performance.
  • Produce a daily activity log for the purpose of tracking workload, case quality and productivity. 
  • Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness.
  • Provide administrative assistance as required in line with current processes and procedures.
     

You will need:

 

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a comparable position in a professional services organisation.
  • Working towards or achieving membership of a recognised professional organisation.
  • To work in accordance with professional codes of conduct and the LR Code of Ethics.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 information technology (including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • To have a basic knowledge of statistics and the importance of data as a means to inform and share knowledge.
  • Attention to detail and meticulous to quality of work.
  • Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the work.
