The role

 

  • To support existing and new construction offshore assets in St. John’s Newfoundland
  • This position is suitable for someone with an engineering degree with Local Offshore Experience in Compliance and Regulations, or equivalent
  • Pursue continuous professional development to remain fully knowledgeable about the technical considerations that are pertinent to clients, and merge that with a deep understanding of classification society rules, offshore regulations and relevant international standards
  • You will always assess all risks and work in a safe manner, reporting in a timely manner all incidents including near miss and safety observations   

  

What you bring 

 

  • Experience working as a marine and offshore surveyor [preferably with an International Association of Classification Societies member] or an equivalent combination of field experience dealing with offshore assets
  • Significant technical competence in existing offshore structures and associated statutory requirements
  • A degree or equivalent within a relevant field of engineering study
  • Excellent communication skills allowing the ability to participate in and add value to technical discussions with clients and LR colleagues
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of the CNLOPB Regulations, including the new framework regulations
