Role Purpose

As part of our continued expansion, LR Digital Products are looking for an ambitious Senior Software Developer to join our growing RiskSpectrum development team, based in Stockholm.

 

The RiskSpectrum team develops, markets and supports software for risk analysis and monitoring in the Nuclear sector. This is a full stack role, which means contribution to both backend and frontend parts depending on project and features. It is an additional plus if you can also provide expertise and interest in automatization of builds and continuous integration in Azure DevOps, since our products are in a developing phase towards this.

 

This role is based in Stockholm, but your colleagues’ locations span from Beijing to London including Shanghai, Dresden and Aberdeen, which makes this position a real opportunity to work with intelligent people from around the world.

 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Effectively understand, capture and interpret client’s needs with the support of a principal software developer.
  • Work in large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied user stories, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Effectively estimate completion time and ensure delivery to these agreed timescales.
  • Contribute to the team's agile process's development and improvement.
  • Proactively contribute to the technical development of other software developers.
  • Programming thought-through, high performing algorithms and structures, being mindful of details as well as the overall software architecture.

 

Requirements  

  • Good level of experience in C#, Java or other object-oriented development language, knowledge and practice in SOLID OO-design principles and design patterns.
  • Good level of experience in frontend Web development using HTML5, CSS, ASP.net, JavaScript, React or similar.
  • A mindset of having great attention to details.
  • Good level of experience in TDD, creating and maintaining unit tests including mocking.
  • Working knowledge of agile principals and ceremonies, including code review.

 

Desirable

  • Experience using Azure DevOps or similar including Boards, Pipelines, Artifacts, Git Repos.
  • Experience in Continuous Integration.
  • Experience in working with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) Tools and Testing Frameworks.
  • Some experience in optimization on speed and memory using profiling tools.
  • Scrum master experience.  
  • Some knowledge of Desktop GUI, i.e. WinForms or similar.
  • Interest in Engineering, Energy and Nuclear sectors.
  • Knowledge of Japanese language is an advantage.
