Lloyd’s Register develops a software suite for risk and reliability analysis, RiskSpectrum® (www.riskspectrum.com), which is the world's leading tool for Probabilistic Safety Assessment in the Nuclear Energy domain. Besides this, our software is used in many other industrial applications, such as transportation, oil and gas, and aerospace. It sets the standard for how Probabilistic Safety Assessment is performed, and currently, we are rapidly expanding our business into new domains.

 

We are looking for an ambitious software developer to join our growing development team, based in Stockholm. Your main responsibility will be development of RiskSpectrum products. You will develop new products, as well as maintain and extend the current ones. The work spans a wide range of tasks in a product’s lifecycle, from the design to the delivery of the product.

 

Primary Function

  • Understand, capture, interpret and document client’s requirements with the support of a principal software developer.
  • Design large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied requirements specification, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Carry out all other software development work competently and in accordance to agreed standards.
  • Estimate completion time and ensure delivery to these agreed timescales.
  • Ensure that Agile process is followed by team and self.
  • Proactively contribute to the technical development of other software developers.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or appropriate skills and experience

 

Skills

 

Required:

  • Several years of experience in C# development
  • Good level of knowledge and practice of SOLID OO-design principles and design patterns
  • Good level of experience in reviewing and testing development code
  • Experience of working within agile software development environment
  • Ability to learn domain knowledge
  • English both spoken and written

 

Desirable:

  • Experience working with large code base and legacy code
  • Relational database experience (SQL Server)
  • Experience of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Experience of scientific and technical programming
  • Experience of working with Mercurial Kiln, Manuscript and Trello
