Subject Matter Expert in Reliability and Availability - RiskSpectrum


As part of our continued expansion, LR Digital Products are looking for an ambitious Subject Matter Expert in Reliability and Availability to join our growing RiskSpectrum development team, based in Stockholm. The RiskSpectrum team develops, markets and supports software for risk analysis and monitoring in the Nuclear sector. We are happy to contribute to an energy sector producing less carbon dioxide emissions, positive for the decrease of global warming. The role

As a subject matter expert in reliability and availability you will provide the expert specialist technical knowledge that customers expect from Lloyd’s Register RiskSpectrum. Bringing a sophisticated approach to problem solving and market knowledge, you’ll help us to continue to develop the world leading software RiskSpectrum.

Establishing deep relationships and finding solutions for customers’ technical issues, you will also identify and pursue new sales opportunities, broadening the scope and type of projects and functionality we deliver.


As a subject matter expert in the RiskSpectrum team, you will:

  • Strengthen our team that defines our products
  • Strengthen the sales team with technical pre-sales capability
  • Assist in testing that requires deep subject matter expertise
  • Monitor trends, new services and products in the field
  • Lead and develop the training activities for RiskSpectrum
  • Develop and manage software implementation services around RiskSpectrum products
  • Strengthening the inhouse RiskSpectrum team regarding 2nd and 3rd line support


You will

  • Apply your technical expertise to routinely enhance our products and delivieries.
  • Bring an innovative and enquiring mind to solve complex structural problems, especially where there’s no precedent.
  • Ensure the project will be delivered to all KPIs, balancing the commercial demands on time, people and resources.
  • Be a focal point for our clients and the LR team.
  • Take personal responsibility for identifying and continually seeking improvements to our products and deliveries.
  • Achieve absolute compliance with all on-site health and safety rules, instructions and systems - and refuse to undertake work that compromises your, or anyone else’s, safety or health.
  • Maintain your Continuing Professional Development and maintain a broad degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.


You will need

  • A M.SC or PhD in an suitable engineering discipline.
  • At least 5-10 years of work experience in the domain of risk, reliability and availability assessment.
  • Several years experience from working with RiskSpectrum software.
  • A practical, adaptable and well organised approach - and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • To demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills – we are a business based on people and relationships as much as technical expertise.
  • Other languages are positive, especially Japanese or Chinese.
  • Experience from giving training is a clear plus.
  • Competency with MS Office packages in order to efficiently manage data; create spreadsheets and produce reports, KPIs and recommendations.
  • Experience of leading by example in delivering a high level of customer service individually and sometimes unsupervised as well as effectively as part of a team.
  • The ability and confidence to review processes and procedures and make changes as required.


This position is based in Stockholm and no relocation is being offered for this role. Work from other locations can be discussed.
